1. The service
TaskOnTime lets organisations create and assign tasks, send reminders and alarms, collect proof, verify completion, escalate or transfer overdue tasks automatically, and send task updates by push notification and WhatsApp ("the Service"). We may improve, change or discontinue features. If we remove a major feature you rely on, we will try to give reasonable notice.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a contract under Indian law.
- You sign in with a mobile number and OTP. Keep your phone and OTPs secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
- Give accurate information and keep your name and number up to date.
3. Companies, roles and responsibilities
- The person who creates a company workspace is its owner. Owners and admins control members, roles, escalation rules, WhatsApp recipients and company data.
- The company is responsible for having a lawful basis and any required consent or notice to add employees, customers, parties and external watchers, and to send them WhatsApp task messages. This includes following the WhatsApp Business Messaging Policy and honouring opt-out requests.
- The company, not TaskOnTime, is responsible for its own employment decisions, performance evaluations, points and any action it takes based on reports, scorecards or escalations.
- The company owns its content (tasks, proofs, comments). You give us a limited licence to host, copy, process and display it only to provide the Service.
4. Acceptable use
You must not:
- use the Service for anything unlawful, fraudulent, harassing or abusive, or to send spam or marketing through task messages;
- upload content you have no right to share, malware, or content that is obscene, defamatory or violates anyone's privacy;
- add phone numbers of people who have not agreed to receive task messages from your organisation;
- try to access other companies' data, reverse engineer, overload or disrupt the Service, or bypass security or usage limits;
- submit fake proofs or tamper with records.
We may suspend or remove accounts or content that break these rules or the law, or that put other users or our WhatsApp number at risk.
5. Reminders, alarms and escalations: important limits
TaskOnTime helps people remember and follow up, but we cannot guarantee that every notification, alarm or WhatsApp message will be delivered or delivered on time. Delivery depends on things outside our control: phone settings and permissions, battery optimisation, Do-Not-Disturb, network coverage, Google/Expo push services, Meta's WhatsApp platform and email providers. Do not rely on TaskOnTime as the only safeguard for safety-critical, medical or legally time-bound obligations.
Proof checks such as duplicate-UTR warnings are aids, not payment verification. The verifier is responsible for confirming payments in their own bank records.
6. Fees
TaskOnTime is currently free. We may introduce paid plans (for example, per user per month) and usage limits on the free plan. We will tell owners in advance, and paid features will be charged only after the owner agrees. Third-party costs your company chooses to incur, such as its own WhatsApp Business account, are yours.
7. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how personal data is handled. For workspace content we process data on behalf of your company.
8. Third-party services
The Service uses third-party services such as Supabase, Meta WhatsApp Cloud API, Expo/Firebase push, Resend (login code emails) and Google Play. Their terms and outages may affect the Service. We are not responsible for third-party services.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time (how to delete). An owner may close a company workspace. We may suspend or end access if you breach these Terms or if we must by law. Sections 3 (ownership), 5, 10, 11 and 12 survive termination.
10. Disclaimer
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted or error-free operation.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, lost profits, lost revenue, missed payments or collections, or data loss arising from use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount your company paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim, or ₹1,000. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.
12. Indemnity
You (and your company, where applicable) will indemnify us against claims arising from your content, your messages to third parties through the Service, or your breach of these Terms or the law.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Please first contact us to resolve any dispute informally. Otherwise, the courts at Pune, Maharashtra have exclusive jurisdiction.
14. Changes
We may update these Terms. We will change the effective date and notify owners of material changes in the app or on WhatsApp. If you keep using the Service after the changes apply, you accept them.
